Pampered Chef is Indestructable

Apparently Pampered Chef is forever. Why do I say that?

Because my granny gave me a round stone she said she'd had for like twenty years. And this thing was black! I mean dark as night, no amount of scraping or scrubbing would change it black.

So I've had said stone for about ten years. And it is still black.

That is until recently.

So I keep this stone in the oven for easy access. Well I hadn't cleaned my oven, or my house for that matter, in a long time.

I have a self cleaning oven...I figure WTH.

I'll set it and then at least that will be clean. So I do all the button pushing, the oven door locks, I go upstairs to take a shower.

Well an hour later the house is all smoking, the detectors are silent (at least we learned that) and the oven is locked. I open up the windows and start the fans. Hours later we find out that the oven wasn't that dirty. The Pampered Chef Stone was!

And now my stone is as good as new looking. Crazy huh!

  1. Ha! I'll have to let my old Pampered Chef director know that works. Now you'll have to re-season it again.

I've used my round stone so much it's black too.

I just wish my cranberry square baker hadn't cracked out the blue. :(

  2. That's amazing! I've got a Pampered Chef can opener and it's the only one I've ever had that's worked!

  3. I have a friend who swears by the can opener! Yes tell your old director. They love this story.

I love my bamboo spoons and I'm rebuying a microwave rice cooker today. My family begged me to after losing the top in one of our moves.

  4. That happened to us but it actually broke the pan. So don't do it on purpose!

  5. Bri, you are a nut. But this is soooo funny.

However, I recommend that you don't try this with non-stoneware papered chef gear. I am pretty sure the kitchen scrappers would just melt. That and make a really awful smell.

    Just a tip.
