Winner of the Kindle Guest Post Contest

If you follow the blog then you know that for the month of April I invited anyone to guest post about anything. We had some great posts from  writing related advice to how to craft a grocery list. But in the end there could be only one winner. However, below I'd like to list the top five with their hits.

5. " 3 Ways to Gain Influence Online...that you haven't tried" by KC Neal had 118 hits.

4. "Ordinary Housewife or Deadly Assassin"  by Alexa Martinez had 150 hits.

3. "Heaven and the Afterlife?" by Jo Kinchington had 165 hits.

2.  "How to Gain Blog Traffic from Writing Communities" by Nicole Pyles had 281 hits.

And the winner is...

1. "Did that really happen?" by Jennifer Comeaux had 340 hits!

Congrats to Jennifer. And thank you to each and every person who contributed. Now just for my own kind of little honorable mention section. There were two blogs for me that I really found useful.

A. Secrets of an Acquisitions Editor
B. The Newsletter Formula

Finally, I want to add my own little take from this. If you look at the diversity of the blogs and then look at the winner I think you'll notice a little winning formula.

First, my audience is targeted to authors, readers, and the publishing industry. So anything to entice them would have been a guest author's best way forward.
Second, Sincere personal experience where you share something special that connects with people on a personal level was the other ingredient.

Jennifer's post had both.

Thank you again to all the posters and as always if you were enlighten, entertained or even offended feel free to share this post using those nifty share buttons below.

Attention Attention: Hey Y'a'll look over here! The Belle has an announcment

Good morning Ya'll!!

Over the last month you have received some amazing guest blog posts. This was all part of my "Guest Post Win a Kindle" month long event. However, there were some hiccups.

Such as my internet forcing me to institute a cursing jar because of it's unreliability. Or the fact that my email (Yahoo) must have heard about said cursing jar and wanted to build it's content. Or maybe just maybe Blogger who decided not to let me post or comment or share my own blog for say own and off a couple of weeks.

But I digress.

Irish historical meets paranormal romance

I'm pleased to introduce Diva Jeffersons as the guest post for St Patrick's Day. Also known to all those close to me as my wedding anniversary. I'm thrilled that an Irish novel release is featured on my blog today of all days! I'm Irish. I'm a romantic. And it never fells that some kind of Celtic influences all my books. Oh did I mention I combine paranormal and historical. Obviously, ya'll know I'm loving Diva right now.

Why did you combine historical romance with a touch of paranormal?

At first, paranormal elements were not found in To Love An Irishman. The original outline excluded instances involving ‘little girl’ and a suddenly appearing ‘rose’. All good stories evolve as writers put their ideas to paper. Sometimes we write the unexpected. Our characters guide the book and in a sense tell us what they want to happen. The most unlikely plot could literally appear from thin air.
Since my novel takes place mostly in Ireland, I figured there is a lot of intrigue and mystery on the island. After all, some things happen for a reason, despite their magical influences. With love, there is possibility, and sometimes the main character needs a little push into the right direction. I realized my hero and heroine needed more than fate to bring them together. They needed a tiny miracle to show them what is more important in their lives. Not every feeling is conveyed through words alone. So, this is where the ‘little girl’ makes her appearance. She shows the characters what they are failing to see.
As for the bloomed ‘rose’ over two bud’s sudden appearance, it is also a well-placed sign. During the time I spent researching my theme, I found a good omen in the ‘rose’. In rose lore, a rose over two buds represents secrecy. I wanted to dedicate the rose’s appearance in my story to Kathleen E. Woodiwiss’s memory, and to the inspiration she gave me through her novel A Rose In Winter, so I incorporated it in the plot. After all, what is more secret than a silent message?
Although, I will not reveal who the ‘little girl’ really is or the significance of the ‘rose’, I will tell you that they appear in the story unexpected and at times of great need.

Guest Blogging Invitation...Most hits wins a Kindle.

My dear friends I am going to be slammed in the coming weeks. I have a blog tour that will start on March 13-April18th with Bewitching Blog tours. With that in mind I thought I would open up my blog to guest posters.

The Belle of Boise gets at least 200 hits on new post days and 100 on average no post days with 4-5,000 a month. Between my social media, followers through newsletter, rss, networked blogs, and GFC I have amazing readers.
With that in mind I'd like to invite you to be a guest blogger.

Blog Subjects
It can be whatever you want it to be. On the weather, on your pet, on the book you just read, just released, or just found out about. There are literally no limitations on subject. Well other than PG-13. Lets keep it clean y'all.

Bloggers
Anyone can guest post. Here at the Belle of Boise blog we don't discriminate. We hate everyone equally. (kidding) Seriously, though you do not have to be an author, avid blogger, reviewer, writer, poet. You can be anyone with something to say.

Benefits
So here are the benefits. At the end of the guest blogging month I will pick the blog who got the most hits. These are an accumulation of hits through the month. Not on posting day but the combinations of hits the day of and 7 days out. So you need to keep advertising your blog on social media at least a week after your post.

Winner will be announced on May 1, 2012.

That blog's owner will receive the following.

·         A Kindle
·         On said Kindle there will be a copy of all my books and including my next release The Eternal Witch.
·         If they are an author I'll post one of their books for 30 days up at my top side bar.

Fill out the form below for the guidelines and to cement your date. You can't have periods in the space "about you" or commas or the form won't go through. (Thank you Conda Douglas for the info)

Good Luck

Make sure to include the date you want. March 13-April18 being the range.
